11 Octobre 2008 / Kgalagadi Transfrontier National Park
9-11.10.08 Finally I get in the Transfrontier Kgalagadi Game Reserve, in the
Kalahari desert! I've been told that I can drive on the regular roads without any problems with my car, well this is not totally true ! The roads were so bad, I thought a few times that the small Opel Corsa will not make it ..... In top of that there were no accomodations available and I got very lucky to be able to stay two nights, but I will go there again, this time with a 4x4 car and an organised trail in the Botswana side!
Oryx, Springboks, Jackals, Red Hartebeest and Meerkats, all these were on the programe ! And ... braai in the evening, of course !

9 Octobre 2008 / Re-Molo - Last day in Cape Town
7.10.08 For the last day at the Cape, I had decided to chill out, the weather was not great, so small walk, shopping and light dinner at the B.B with the magnificiant view. Then programm change ! We are leaving, Loreen and I (Loreen= Personal assistant of the B.B. boss) for Keyilitsha (not so sure about the wrinting anymore!). We are going to fetch one of her friend who will guide us around. The taxi station with it's small market, the restaurants, the sellers with all their sheep insides, intestins and so on, beaf's head or sheep's head .... cooked or raw ! well there were things for all tastes, except maybe for the vegetarians !Thank you girls for the great time:

5 Octobre 2008 / Fish Hoek - Cape Town
Hein Sebastien, mange tes fruits !
Bon travail lundi !
Friday 03.10.08: Boulder's, the pinguins' place ! (Simon's town) Excellent ! It's here that I lost Sebastien's sunglasses (he lent it to me ...), a little bit too over the barrier and they felt on the pinguin's beach .... we don't have the courage to go down to get them, nobody remarked the sunglasses so far .... suddenly, one of the chinese tourist (part of a all bus visiting cape town) saw the glasses, and like the thunder reaching the earth, he jumped down on the beach and catches his new sunglasses !
Cape of Good Hope, the weather is beautiful, a nice wind reminds us the season, it's spring and at the cape which used to be called the Cape of Storms didn't steal it's name! Tonight we are staying at Graham's place, a verz nice english guy running the Hunter's Lodge B&B. At an incredible speed he is explaining us the all Cape history and described all the areas. He is preparing a great breakfast (sorry a brunch-diner ! all in one)! Sebastien, eat your fruits!
A good steak, respectively fillet (the ladies's cut is only 240 gr, sorry about that) to end the day, with a Shiraz La Motte, perfect !
4.10.08: Cape Town, here we are, visit of the town by Hopp on/Hopp off bus, shopping at the Waterfront and diner at the Codfather .... mmmmhh Jordan Chardonnay, Kingclip, Salmon, Cabillaud, Butterfish, giant prawns, langoustine .... no comments.
5.10.08: Groot Constantia, chilling out, Sebastien is flying back to Switerland today, there are some verz unlucky people. Have a good time at work Monday !

2 Octobre 2008 / Joburg - Kimberley - Fish Hoek
Mmmmhh very nice !
30.9.08: Arrived in Joburg, OR Tambo Airport right in time (9.15 am), after over an hour and a half waiting to pass the immigration, the rental of a cell phone et the picking up of THE opel Corsa, here I am, driving towards Joburg ! 12.30, let's take off, Sebastien and I direction Kimberley, 500 km are waiting for us, but it is worth it.
1.10.08 We are visting the "Big Hole", the biggest digging by men's hand.
We hit the road for another 500 km, see on the way the "blue train" going back to Joburg. As Sebastien would say: "Well, it's just a train and it's blue !!" We are arriving at Prince Albert, lovely village at the Swartberg. We get to eat some local specialities, bobotie, chicken pie and lamb. Mmmmh, very nice
2.10.08 The Swartberg pass, in the fog, with rain on the other side, but it is still beautifull, the landscape ... the proteas ...! Let's go in the Cango Caves! When getting out, the rain has been waiting for us, we decide to go straight to the Cape ! And arrive in Fish Hoek, on the other side of Cape Town, tomorrow we will go to the Cape of Good Hope !
