N’est-il pas mignon notre Backpack ? En fait c’est plus un gîte qu’autre chose, le Sani Lodge Backpackers, il y même un petit magasin ou on peut acheter des conserves maison. Très recommandable !
Isn’t our Backpack cute ? It’s more than just a Backpack, the Sani Lodge Backpackers is to be recommended, there is even a little shop where you can buy home made preserves.
Ce matin il fait -3 ! Ils sont fous ici ! Nous participons à l’un des tours d’une journée qu’ils proposent, le fameux col du Sani et un petit tour au Lesotho. La montée du col se fait en 4x4, car en effet une voiture normale .. aurait de la peine, l’altitude commence à se faire sentir, il fait drôlement froid, mais les paysages sont fabuleux ! Nous arrivons au sommet du col, à la frontière, le temps que notre guide aille faire tamponner nos passeports et j’ai déjà acheté un super couvre-chef ! Pure chèvre, tricoté main ! (je connais déjà des jalouses !)
This morning it’s -3 degrees (celcius), they are crazy here or what? Today we are going on an organised tour, up to the Sani Pass and spend the day in Lesotho. Going up the pass is only manageable in 4x4, we can feel the altitude, it is quite cold but the landscapes are just too beautiful! Get get to the top of the pass, our guide is getting our passports stamped while I buy an amazing new beanie! Pure goat, hand made! I love it! (I already know some jalous people..)

Nous roulons à travers des paysages désertiques, des bergers habitent ici pendant l’été avec leur troupeaux et redescendent pendant l’hiver, car ici il neige ! Nous avons même trouvé des restes de neige ! si si ! (t’as vu les skis ?) Nous ne pouvons pas quitter le Lesotho sans boire un vin chaud au pub le plus élevé d’afrique! Santé !

We are driving through arid landscapes, only shepperds are living here during summer with their goat herds, in winter they go back home, in lower altitudes, because here in winter it does snow ! We even found some leftovers ! (saw the skis?)We cannot leave without having a “gluwine” at the highest pub in Africa, cheers!
